Neufont lake is a haven of peace and quiet, offering nonetheless some gentle water-based activities, such as boating and pedalo. Lounge on the immaculate beach, then plunge into the clear waters for a refreshing swim. After a heavy day of doing nothing, stroll over to the guinguette for some delicious local cooking, listen to a live band and dance under the stars to the backdrop of the lake.

For nature lovers and explorers, a myriad of hiking trails are available around the lake and its surroundings. With no fewer than four carefully laid-out circuits, explore on foot or by bike the rich heritage, picturesque villages and spectacular scenery that characterise the Neufont region. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and cultural diversity of some truly enchanting places, revitalise your senses and escape into another world for few days….

Water Activities

Swimming

Swimming at Lac de Neufont is permitted and supervised from 10.30 am to 7.15 pm on the following dates:

The weekend of 20 and 21 June 2026
The weekend of 27 and 28 June 2026
Every day from 4 July to 31 August 2026
The weekend of 5 and 6 September 2026

Access to the beach is free of charge. Picnic tables and toilets are available near the beach.

A swimming aid for people with reduced mobility is available on request.

Dogs, even when kept on a lead, are not permitted on the beach.

Paddleboarding and Pedal Boating

Lake Neufont offers a variety of water activities, including paddleboarding and pedal boats, perfect for relaxing and adventurous moments in the great outdoors. Visitors can rent paddleboards and pedal boats to sail the calm waters of the lake, surrounded by lush greenery. These activities are open to all and allow you to fully enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the site. Activities are open seasonally from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Paddleboard rental: €6 per person for 30 minutes
2-seater pedal boat rental: €8 per 30 minutes
4-seater pedal boat rental: €12 per 30 minutes

Available as a 3-day or 7-day pass, it gives you access to free visits and discounted rates at numerous partner venues. Designed to make your stay easier, it gives you access to a variety of cultural and leisure experiences.

At the Neufont leisure centre, for example, the Pass Évasion entitles you to discounts on pedal boat and paddleboard hire upon presentation of the pass. A great opportunity to combine exploration with moments of relaxation with family or friends.

Fun and Sports Activities

L’étang de Neufont now offers two outdoor activities that are both fun and sporty: a disc golf course and an orienteering race, free and accessible to all.

Orienteering Courses

Three orienteering courses (blue, yellow, and orange) are available to allow participants to search for markers scattered around the pond. An ideal activity for exercising while having fun.

Disc Golf

Disc golf, similar to golf, is played with a Frisbee. The goal is to throw a disc into baskets in as few throws as possible. This sport, both fun and friendly, can be enjoyed alone, with friends, or family, while enjoying the surrounding nature.

Enjoy an area dedicated exclusively to fishing on our magnificent lake, where a close collaboration with the Dordogne Fishing Federation guarantees optimal conditions for this activity.
